Around 6,560 ML of inflow was received to reservoirs during June; however, further inflows are required to secure all headworks system operating water requirement for the 2020 season, before any allocation can be made to entitlements. Operating water is used to meet system losses such as evaporation from reservoirs.

No allocation has been possible to any entitlement at the time of the July 2020 water resource assessment. However, bulk entitlement holders collectively have access to approximately 104,000 ML of unused water allocation carried forward from 2019-20 year.

The Storage Manager has conducted an assessment of the risk of spill for the system headworks, as per the methodology defined in the Storage Management Rules. The results of this assessment have enabled the Storage Manager to declare a low risk of spill for the 2020-21 water year as of 3 July 2020.

A July update on Reservoir operations is also now available.
