The latest seasonal allocations for September 2024 have been announced by the Storage Manager.

Inflow to reservoirs during August totalled 3,900 ML (excluding Taylors Lake), or approximately 8.4% of the historic long-term average. Persistent dry catchment conditions have significantly limited early inflow to storages, with only small resource improvements identified. With limited resource improvement over the month, allocation improvements were minimal.

Wimmera-Mallee Pipeline Product entitlements increased to 8% allocation, a 3% increase on the August allocation. No allocation has been possible yet to the following: the Glenelg River Compensation Flow, Recreation, Wetlands and Commonwealth Environmental entitlements. In addition, a total of 7.8 GL has been allocated to the system reserve for the next water year.
